As a lifelong resident of Delaware County and an alumnus of St. James High School and Widener University, I am well-acquainted with the Delaware County, Pennsylvania, community. The relationships I’ve fostered help me better understand the needs of area customers. Since I became an Allstate agent in 1984, I’ve worked hard to help these customers as they make decisions that protect what matters most: their family, home, car and more.

Family is important to me. My wife, Jackie, and I spend much of our time outside work with our five kids. On weekends, we attend their soccer games and basketball games. I also love baseball: I coached Little League for several years, and I try to attend a few Phillies games a year.

My community means a great deal to me, too. I attend area fundraisers as often as I can and support the Ridley United Soccer team, Ridley High School and the Ridley Township fire department and police department.

My Allstate roots run deep. My father-in-law, Paul Mattus, started this agency more than 50 years ago. In 2011, we decided to merge our agencies. My mother-in-law, Valerie, is busy behind the scenes, my cousin, Jennifer Hurchalla-Good, is the office manager and my son, Guy Jr., works with us as well. My father-in-law, a pillar of the community, is a role model for me. He once told me, “If you do what is right for customers, they’ll do right by you.” As an agent, these are words to live by.
