Established in 2004 by Ed & Bob Maurais, Mainely Ticks is a family business which provides residents of Maine's York & Cumberland counties with timely, professional tick and mosquito control services. In four short years, we've grown from a two man, one truck operation to eleven part & full time employees and eight service vehicles. Our customer base has grown to over 700 customers who appreciate our personalized approach of incorporating education & science in managing tick and mosquito populations around their homes.

In 2007, we added our arborist division, The Maine Branch, which provides tree removal, pruning and chipping services. We processed and sold the hardwood from our removal jobs, but found the demand for seasoned firewood far exceeded our supply.

In the spring of 2008, seeing the need for readily available and affordable alternative fuels, we contracted with several manufacturers and launched our newest division, Southern Maine Renewable Fuels. We are pleased to offer home delivery service of eco-friendly biofuels including wood pellets, BioBricks, CozyLogs & Hearthwise Logs for wood stoves, pellet stoves and fireplaces.
