He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Myers served as Chief of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery from 1979 to 2017 at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. As Professor of Surgery and instructor in Biomedical Ethics, he enjoys mentoring students and resident physicians.
A 2017 recipient of the Distinguished Surgeon’s Award from the Howard University College of Medicine, Ernest M. Myers, M.D., F.A.C.S. is acknowledged as one of America’s leading physicians. Black Enterprise magazine and the National Medical Association Hinton-Gladney Lifetime Achievement Award have recognized his expertise nationally.
